Here’s a little sneak peek at the current progress of the YELLOW! wedding shawl I’m making for my best friend. I could use some encouragement that yes, it looks pretty and is worth continuing on with… it’s a bit of a beast to work, as there is lace patterning on every row and due to the little minicable-and-lace increase pattern leading into each repeat of the honeybee-and-faggoting pattern, the chart is 46 rows long. Still, each individual bit of it is pretty intuitive, as long as I don’t get mixed up about which part of the pattern I’m working.

It’s a top-down triangle and I’ll finish it with a sideways knitted-on edging. I’m really loving the color and the yarn.

It looks gorgeous! I particularly love the mini-cable-and-lace bit that you posted the bigger picture of; very pretty!

That is one amazing pattern — you really have to be awake and on your toes to pick it up. Your friend will be overwhelmed and look more than elegant on her wedding day.

Oh it is AWFULLY pretty. I can’t imagine how daunting it would be to work on (and with a deadline!), though I do think that the finished piece is definitely going to be worth it.

I have already Ravelry-favorited this. It’s beautiful! Can’t wait to see the knitted-on border.

Oh, MY! It IS absolutely lovely — but I don’t know how you do it!
I cannot wait to see it finished either — I wish I were your best friend, or ANYONE’S best friend that would make something that lovely and intricate for me — she’s a lucky lady

So interesting to see this color. I’m guessing it is Malabrigo or Handpaintedyarns.com in the Sunset colorway. I have a bunch of this in my stash and just finished a Swallowtail shawl, but have tons more left. It is fabulous for the honeybee shawl and I keep wondering if I’m up for all that lace knitting. But I’m also wondering, are you having any issues excess dye on the fiber and color transfer to your hands, etc. ? My hands look like I’ve been eating cheetos each time I knit
I’m sure that I’ll have to treat the shawl to a trip through the microwave to set the color when I do the blocking.

I really like yellow. I can’t ever wear it because it makes me look sickly (washes out my skin color) but I love it sooo much!
This pattern is gorgeous! I love the bees. Keep going!

That is gorgeous. I love the mini-cable detail. I’m so all over the yellow. What yarn is this again? It looks incredibly soft.
Sorry I haven’t commented in awhile. I am so behind on blog-reading.
